The Institution of Engineers (India) Pune Local Centre invites Nominations for the various prizes instituted by them for the engineers as well as non engineers working in various fields for the year 2008. These prizes have been instituted by the Centre to encourage, appreciate, recognize the outstanding work done in respective fields and honour the talents working for the cause of development and quality.

Individuals, organizations or industries can send their nominations for the outstanding contributions and achievements in the following fields of Engineering and Technology. Person being nominated need not be member of the Centre. The nomination should be supported by suitable documents giving facts & figures of projects / tests/ experiments/ innovations / patents / research.

Mr. VG Mehendaley Health & Safety Prize

"VG Mehendaley Health & Safety Prize" was instituted from the donation given by the family members of Mr VG Mehendaley in the year 1984. The prize is given to a person who has done meritorious services in the field of Health and Safety.

Mrs. Lilavati Mehendaley Women Entrepreneurs Prize

"Mrs Lilavati Mehendaley Women Engineers/Entrepreneurs Prize" was instituted from the donation given by Mr VG Mehendaley in the year 1984. The Prize is given to a woman entrepreneur who has established her own commercial unit or carried out meritorious services as an Engineer.

CM Shah Concrete Technology Prize

“CM Shah Concrete Technology Prize” was instituted from the donation given by the family of CM Shah through Chaturdas Manilal Damarshi Charity Trust in the year 1983to institute this prize in memory of Late CM Shah, a well known industrialist in the field of Concrete Technology. The Prize is awarded to a person who has done the innovative work in the field of Concrete Technology.

Rao Bahadur NS Joshi Memorial Prize

On the Birth Centenary of Rao Bahadur NS Joshi, one of the founder Members of Pune Local Centre, & at the 11 th Silver Jubilee Memorial Lecture held on 29 th November 1994, Mrs. Sindhutai Dhekaney, daughter of Late Rao Bahadur NS Joshi, gave donation to institute the Prize Fund in the name of "Rao Bahdur NS Joshi Memorial Prize". The Prize is awarded to an Engineer for outstanding contributions in the field of Irrigation Engineering.

Mr. Engineer & Ms. Engineer Prize

This award is instituted by Pune Local Centre for the young engineers who have performed the Best in their respective fields during the current year.

Dr. JM Mulay Structural Engineer Prize

These prizes would be awarded to an engineer for his outstanding contribution in the field of structural engineering field for the current year. This prize fund is instituted from the donation received from Dr. JM Mulay, Structural Consultant.

Late Smt. Vijaya Mulay Lady Entrepreneur Prize

Outstanding work done by Lady Entrepreneur preferably a Lady Engineer or an organization managed by lady / Ladies and who have done outstanding work as Engineers or as an Entrepreneur.

DSK Energy Award

DS Kulkani Developers Ltd has instituted an award to be given to a person for meritorious work in the field of Solar Energy.
