The Institution of Engineers (India) Pune Local Centre has invited Nominations for the various prizes instituted by them for the engineers as well as non engineers working in various fields. These prizes have been instituted by the Centre to encourage, appreciate, recognise the outstanding work done in respective fields and honour the talents working for the cause of development and quality.
Individuals, organisations or industries can send their nominations for the outstanding contributions and achievements in the following fields of Engineering and Technology. Person being nominated need not be member of the Centre. The nomination should be supported by suitable documents giving facts & figures of projects / tests/ experiments/ innovations / patents / research.

Mr Engineer & Ms Engineer Award :These two ("Mr. Engineer 2004 and Ms. Engineer 2004".) prizes are awarded by the centre to the young engineers who have performed the Best in their respective fields during the previous financial year.

Dr. JM Mulay Structural Engineer Prize Person or an organisation who has done outstanding work and contributed in the field of structural Engineering.Late Smt. Vijaya Mulay Lady Entrepreneur Prize. Outstanding work done by Lady Entrepreneur preferably a Lady Engineer or an organisation managed by Lady/ ladies and who have done outstanding work as Engineers or as an Entrepreneur.

CM Shah Concrete Technology Prize Person or Organisation who has done outstanding and innovative work in the field of Concrete Technology i.e.

1. Innovative Technique in Concrete Construction.

2. Innovative Material used to manufacture best concrete

3. Innovative or outstanding design work for concrete construction

4. Manufacture of best quality concrete or concrete structure.

Rao Bahadur NS Joshi Irrigation Engineer Prize The person should be an Engineer & who has done outstanding work in the field of Irrigation Engineering.

DSK Energy Award Person or a team or Institution or an Organisation who has done outstanding work in any of the following fields

. Non-conventional & Renewable Energy Sources like Solar Thermal & Photovoltaic, Wind Mills, Mini-Hydel/Micro Hydel, Tidal/Oceanographic, Geothermal, Bio-gas/Bio-mass.

Alternative Energy Sources like Ethanol/Methanol, CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), Biogas, Rice Husk etc.

Energy Efficiency Improvement/Energy Conservation like Energy Conservation Projects/Schemes in Domestic, Commercial, Industrial & Other sectors, Energy Efficient Equipment Design, Manufacture Design, Development, Manufacture, Energy Saving Devices

Energy Efficient Buildings like Architecture , Construction etc.

The work should be supported by results of tests /experiments/research / design& drawing/ projects/ patents/ economy etc.
